Jury returns defense verdict against medical battery claim seeking $3.8 million in damages

The plaintiff in this case sought $3.8 million in damages and alleged that, during an operation to remove and test a cyst, her doctor performed a medical procedure that was substantially different from the procedure she consented to and that she was injured as a result.  However, after our attorneys Mike Bailey and Brenda Benson finished presenting the defense of their clients to the jury, by proving to them that the procedures fell within the consent given by the plaintiff, it quickly became apparent that the jury agreed with them and after only two hours of deliberation returned a defense verdict in favor of our clients.
